I’ve been a jock, materialistic diva, LG party girl, university drop out and hippie travel bum. All phases that led to a more post modern perspective. I believe in a holistic approach. That means doing the best you can to be healthy mentally, physically and spiritually, as well as fostering a healthy community and society as a whole. I’m a university student, foodie, fitness instructor, avid traveler, outdoors enthusiast and at times a bit of a princess. This is a collection of inspirations, thoughts and passions. Enjoy!

Regine Ramseier, a German artist, had the great idea to created a ‘Dandelion Ceiling.’ 2000 dandelion flowers were treated and sprayed with a gentle adhesive to fix them. The dandelions were then transported by car to a little white room where they were hung.

Trudeau on Boston: “Over the coming days, we have to look at the root causes. Now, we don’t know now if it was terrorism or a single crazy or a domestic issue or a foreign issue, but there is no question that this happened because there is someone who feels completely excluded. Completely at war with innocents. At war with a society. And our approach has to be, where do those tensions come from? Yes, there’s a need for security and response but we also need to make sure that as we go forward, that we don’t emphasize a culture of fear and mistrust. Because that ends up marginalizing even further those who already are feeling like they are enemies of society” Harper on Trudeau: “When you see this kind of action, when you see this kind of violent act, you do not sit around trying to rationalize it or make excuses for it or figure out its root causes. You condemn it categorically and to the extent that you can deal with the perpetrators you deal with them as harshly as possible and that is what this government would do if it ever was faced with such actions.”
My mom ran Boston in the past and I completely agree that the perpetrators need to be held accountable but Trudeau is looking at the bigger picture, at the larger issues of marginalization that cause underlying rifts in our society. Leaders are supposed to step back and make decisions that are beneficial in the short and long term. We have police to deal with the right now, we should have a prime minister who looks to the future.  Just found my motivation to vote!
